BMW 745Li Metallic Gray Finished

It's been a while since I've posted...my other job took me to Salt Lake City for the past week and the dealer had cars getting warranty/paint work done.

Here's a nice 745Li that I just completed. Had a nasty gouge on the lower rocker panel and most of that was corrected. The reflection shots came out very nice.

Kansas needs some sunshine...it's been wet, wet, wet.

Inside Reflection Shots. The car was compounded with 3M, then Menzerna 106FF, then Meguiar's #26 as the lsp. Menzerna seems to add a very reflective surface.

Trunk Lip shot...no flash

Outside and all done! Starting a silver 545 tomorrow (I think)

I noticed Menzerna works a lot longer than the 3M glaze I've been using.

Great work, Toto! I really like PO106FF on BMW's hard clearcoat. It trully makes a clear difference.

Nice job there Toto, good to see you again and as usual a wicked job on the BMW. I agree with you 106FF gives the paint some nice gloss. I'm assuming your talking about the Menzerna Glaze, I've only used it once and I did it by hand and boy was it a paint to remove...I really need to start applying glaze products by mahine. I'll have to pay attention next time I use the Menzerna Glaze.

Thanks for sharing Toto

You really know how to shine those bimmers!! I enjoy working on them too. You're lucky to have such a great supply of jobs, although with results like yours, it's no wonder!

Thanks folks!

Nica: I've used both the Menzerna Glaze and 3M's product. Menzerna has to be wiped off with a microfiber towel while the 3M glaze can be worked in the paint completely.

Here's a tip for the Menzerna: next time you try to remove it, use some quick detailer and spray the area before you wipe it off with an mf towel. Makes it easier.
