Acura Wash and Wax....pic intensive...

Took the opportunity to wash and wax the old girl...it's a 97 Acura 3.2 TL. Ordered the Shmitt from AG and was dying to use it. Gr8 experience. I think its going to save me a lot of soap. I used to use so much with my sheepskins. With the Shmitt I had a lot of soap solution left after the wash (I follow the 2 bucket wash method at the nearest car wash bays). I've discovered that 7:00 PM is the best time of the day. I can wash the car in peace without having to hurry up (no bucket is allowed if another car is waiting)

Anyway - some history - Got her last year with 130K on her. Ordered a PC and Poorboy polishes from AG last October and polished her up. I wash and keep it protected every other weekend. Waiting for a good day this summer to follow up with a another polish session and get rid of some micro marring. The only regret that I have with this car is is that I didn't own it from day one

My Wash and Wax Process/Products:
- Rinse down with water
- Wash with Shmitt and Poorboys SS&S (2 bucket method)
- Dry with Guzzler and Poorboys S&W
- Applied Natty's paste with yellow foam applicator
- Wiped off with fluffy blue cobra
- Buffed to a shine with the fluffy purple cobra
- 303 on the trim (if needed - not required this time)
- AA spray on tires and wheel wells
- Dust the interior

Not bad for a 10 year old car 'eh? I wish it was black. It's difficult getting this light color to reflect well.

Car looks great, I don't know about you but I like the reflection you got...I know what you mean though darker colors give it that extra POP!!

Inside and outside look great...thanks for sharing.

Hey man, you have done a really good job. Sometimes it could be better to detail a decent 10-year old car, those paints were a little more toxic but better to polish.

Your 10 year old car looks outstanding. You have some really nice reflection shots there despite the light colored paint. For some reason I find detailing older cars to be more rewarding. Looks awesome!

Your Acura looks great! Nice reflections there. Hood and roof look really nice and glossy too. I see lots of older cars where I live, with oxidation and failing clearcoats. Very nice job with the interior as well.

10 years old. It looks newer then that, because of the nice detail you done there. Nice reflection shots.

Look pretty clean for 130K + ..reflection and interior look great

Don't regret not having black as it's a real PITA even though it looks good clean
