Weather: 80-85, feels like 90 to me lol; Humidity 64%
Product: XMT 180 High Gloss carnauba wax
Product Container: 6oz black container just like souveran/sigII minus the O ring.
Product Characteristics: Soft purplish carnauba wax that’s smells like grape Kool-Aid and wax at the same time. My puppy liked the smell so much she almost got a good lick in lol.
Product Performance: Performs exactly how the label says, it claims sun or shade well I can vouch for the sun part. It is very sun (hot surface) friendly. I work with no shade and the wax was applied at 4:00pm so it was hot. I used as directed; I applied a thin layer of wax using a pinnacle yellow foam applicator to one panel at a time. I allowed it to haze (like directed) and removed before moving on to next panel.
Final thoughts: This is a high gloss wax. It has a darkening effect which does mute flakes in the paint. So for those who have flakes this will tone them down as well as the metallic. This wax would look awesome on solid colors (red/black comes to mind). It does however give a very crisp and clear reflection. It also leaves the surface quit slick to the touch (almost naughty
). It is a joy to use and I can’t wait to finish up the car. Weather is getting a bit unpredictable (summer storms). As far as durability I have no idea………..yet
. If you have a solid color car this wax (with proper prep) will definatly please the eyes and not leave you wanting
imo. I think Nattys Blue has some strong Competition as far as looks and ease of use go.
Total process:
* Washed using TOL Bubble bathe (AL-53 you were right this stuff is awesome)
* No clay needed did a month ago and surface is smooth
* Corrected paint using Optimum Compound and Edge Green pad
* Polished paint with Optimum Polish with Edge Blue pad
* Klasse AIO to remove any oils and leave a LSP ready surface for XMT 180 to rest on
* LSP XMT 180 High Gloss carnauba wax
