Quick wash- '04 SVT Cobra

We had a cobra gtg today and were heading up to a show afterwards so the cobra got a good washing. Which it hasnt had since.....mid May Anyway, It was pretty dirty with pollen and general road dust and stuff, but nothing to heavy/sticky.

I used the 2 bucket method with Meguiars NXT wash, with a AG Foamgun. Then let a gentle stream of water run over the car with the hose before i dried it(I TOTALY recomend this method to anyone who hasn't tried it yet, it works great)

After it was dry i used some Meguiars Quik Wax which I must say, im impressed with for what it is. It is really quick and easy, goes right on and comes off without a problem (just dont let it dry/haze for too long it becomes a bit harder to remove then) and it leaves a nice shine and sparkle on the paint, nothing near a real wax but for the time/ease of use, I like it. All I can say about durability is that it beaded water well all day on the F350 when it rained really hard last weekend, so I knew it was on there..

Stay tuned in later weeks, once I get a PC and get good with it ill be able to really put a nice shine on this thing

What it looked like before....

Just wet down.

After the foam. (Is there some way or different soap I can use to get the foam to "cling" better, or be thicker and not run off to fast?)

All dry!

After the quik wax. Cant tell much by the pics but it looked much brighter/more reflective.

I can definitely tell the difference in the pics between the dried and waxed ones. Great work, always loved those Cobras. Lower them a bit and they're mean looking!

nice Cobra . For the clinging soap, I can't help you there =| I haven't had an experience with a foam gun.

The before and afters are very nice. The colour looks deep and wet. Very nice.

Looks good!

And you get the "dribble" of water out of the trunk too. It is so damn annoying!

I remember going to pick up one of these babies in '96 with my best friend. They owned it for 7 years and had 11k on it when they sold it(don't ask me why they sold it). I loved that car! Yes, it had the mystic paint.
