Detailed: 2006 Lexus IS250 w/acid damage

Got a call last week from the local speaciality grocer we have that they had some sort of water/acid leak from the pipes of their store. Well, it leaked to the parking garage underneath where a ladies 03 black BMW 330i and her 06 Lexus IS250 were parked. Both have damage on them, but the Lexus was far worse (I'm detailing the BMW on tuesday morning).

Process:

Wash with ##'s Citrus Wash N Gloss
5 gallon bucket, grit guard, rinse bucket (2) white/yellow Shmitt's
Dry with Cobra Ultimate Guzzler

Wheels/Tires a mix of 4* white lightning degreaser and amazing roll off
Tires/wells/engine dressed with Optimum tire shine
Engine degreased with amazig roll off

Clayed with sonus green and meg's white for tougher areas (like the acid water lol)

Interior
Stoner invisible glass
sonus ww window towel
optimum protectant plus and turtle wax leather car both used on vinyl, plastic, and leather
cleaned leather with woolite 8:1
Clearkote quik shine on speedo cover, center console plastic, etc
quik shine'd door jambs

Polishing

PC with 4" Edge orange, yellow, and green pads
Used SSR 2.5 on worse areas
Then Optimum Poli Seal on entire car
Sprayed the light residue from OPs with optimum car wax
Topped with Souveran..mmm mmm good

Used a ton of pads, mf towels, you name it, this car needed some love.

Sorry about the lack of pre engine detail pics and also a lack of many before pics, I was in a hurry, and got the whole car done in about 6.5 hours, but I couldn't get all the acid water damage out, so I spent another 2 hours getting it to 99%. I'm anal like that.

Well, the grocer is picking up the tab for this, which is nice. So:

Payment: $225

Time: 8.5 hours

Befores (no interior or engine, forgot):

Also forgot to take any after interior or engine pics, ugh, I'm so stupid.

Here's after polishing the trunk/acid area with SSR 2.5, of course after rubbing the piss outta it by hand and claying for like 30 min at least.

Rest of afters...fought rain all day, so it's a bit cloudy.

Did you put towels in the engine? Is that for safety?

That is one sweet looking Lexus, you did a great job pampering it. Well done my friend. I like how you took that extra precaution in the engine area. Even though most vehicles engine bay come covered with a bunch of plastic it's still good to be cautious. I wonder if the acid penetrated the clear coat? Or if it made the clear coat softer? You did a good job there Nimble.

Thanks for sharing and I liked your pictures too.

Oh question, what was the purpose of the picture with your cell phone? The time you started? Just wondering that's all.

Thanks for the kind words. Haha, yeah the cell phone pic was to prove the time/date the damage was there in case I wasn't able to get it out and she blamed it on me. Just covering the rear you know. haha

The clearcoat was only damaged minorly in a small spot, I showed it to the owner, and she seemed ok with it. Way I see it, she got a $200+ detail for free, simply because a mishap in her parking garage. The interior white leather was very dirty, I took care of that. The engine was dirty, and got detailed. The wheels were filthy, now clean. Etc, etc, the car is in much better conditon than pre-acid water.
