| | | First S&S, F-350, Dump Truck, Track Loader. Ok, it's my first couple of posts over here at autogeek online, although I have been at autopia for about 4yrs, but I wanted to learn more and I love AG. I am a detailer in Youngsville, NC so here are some interesting/simple wash/wax jobs on one of my customers jobs.
First up is the 2007 Takeuchi Track Loader. I know, it's a wierd detail, but when a machine like this costs upwards of $50,000 it needs to be taken care of.
Washed with DG CWC
Degreased with Purple Power 1:1
Wax with AW.
No dressing on the tracks, it attracts too much dust.
No befores, but it was nasty.
Second up is a 2000 F-350 with 60,000 Miles. He only drives it to Charlotte to pick up his race boat parts. I have taken care of it for about 4 years now, and it is in fantastic shape for a 7yr old truck. The red on this truck is outstanding, pics simply do not do it justice, it needs to be seen to be belived how red this thing is.
Wash with DG CWC
Wheels/Tires with Purple Power 10:1
Seal with OCW
Glass with AW
Tires with Majestic Solutions Poly-Pro (best dressing in the world!)
Rims with Majestic Solutions Spray Detailer.
Last is a 1997 GMC Top Kick Dump Truck. I see it for washing every 2 weeks, but have only seen it twice for waxing. note how the truck is clean, but has no gloss on the dump body. I posted this one b/c I like trucks with shiney tires.
Wash DG CWC
Paint with #34
Glass with AW
Tires with MS Poly-Pro
Rims with MS Spray Detailer
Total time for these 3 vehicles plus a camry and a 1990 GMC Dually was about 3 hrs in the 95* heat.
Thanks for Lookin!

| | Nice job and thanks for the write up. I have to say all that in 3 hours is MOVING !! I'm pretty quick, but you my friend are lightning!! I never thought of Heavy Equipment cleaning, bet you need some psi for that
Nice work.

| | | Welcome to AG and that's some stellar work there! I don't know how you wash all those things in 3 hours, it would take me 3 hours to just do the tires on the dump truck! |

| | | To be honest, it probably isnt as comprehensive of a detail as a normal wash job. The truck interior just gets wiped down, the loader does not get any interior, and the F-350 is only driven about 100 miles every 2wks, so they are all easy.
Thanks for the compliments though guys!

| | Great job with all 3 details! Love the RED on that dually!
Out in that heat, you probably have an awesome "farmers tan".
What also caught my eye was all that old, weathered wood on the structure beside that dump truck. I love old wood!
Noticed that was a lot of heavy equipment there, even on your Avatar. Guessing you're also a HE operator?

| | | Not an operator, but I love HE. I am going to school for Agricultural Engineering with a minor in Machinery systems. I love tractors and trucks, in fact, that is most of what I detail. I have done more tractors in my detailing career than cars.

| | | That dualy truck looks wicked, I was given the opportunity to detail one of those and they are fun to detail, it bellongs to one of my co-workers and that was a fun truck to drive.
You do nice work and fast, you know what's funny about large vehicles..well they look intimidating but when you actually do it they aren't that bad...still though 3hrs is wicked timing.
Thank's for sharing, welcome to the AutoGeek familia. |
