Impressions:
Paint was rock hard, swirls were not too hard to remove but RIDS were a PIA and many were in tight areas or edged ares that I worked with the 4 inch pads but too many edges and what not so didn't want to push it. Was using PC on 6 with 4 inch pad and RIDS were still there. Tried M105 straight and Optimum Compound with only a small dent. Customer was very happy, I just wish I could have gotten some of these RIDS out in these areas. Because of the body lines and tight areas I found it difficult, I needed a tiny DA with a 1.5 inch pad..........lol

Re: 2009 Black Camaro SS by MD

Great job! FYI, its a 2010 model, didn't make them in '09...

Funny you should say that I said to the customer this is a 10 right? He said no it's an 09, in my head I am saying I thought they didn't make them in 09 but cusotmer must know his car so that is what I wrote down.. He probably bought it in 09...........lol

You had that Camaro looking great.

When you got rid of that wheel scuff, was it deep at all? Was the rim the coated, or painted type?
I'm asking because I have some similar scuffs on my wheels but I haven't to touch them because I thought it would make them worse.

On another note if you're serious about a small polisher and have a decent compressor, they make 1.5-2 inch pneumatic orbitals and rotary for like $60

I figured that was exactly what happened. Mine was born in '09 too. Great job on the detail. One question, were you able to get the bumpers to correct without getting too aggressive? I haven't had the best luck getting my painted plastics perfect...

Rim is painted with clear, some scratches and scuffs I was not able to remove. I have used my drill and Adams focus pads with 105/205 on many wheels and with good results. Just have to be careful.

Don't have a compressor or use pneumatic orbitals, but thanx for the info.

nice work! I feel you on the rock hard clear though!

Thanx, yep PIA!
Nice work, the Camaro grew on me over the years!

I used a 4 inch MF pad with 105/d300 on the PC at speed 6 and tried not to move too slow as I know the plasitc doesn't dissipate the heat. Overall 11 hrs on the car and I found it to be my most challenging job yet. Did not want to push it with the bumpers.

You would figure with clear that hard it wouldn't scratch as easy...........lol
