Toto's Quickest Detail Ever! Rogue Acura In A BMW Shop

The dealer and I each grabbed a rotary on this pre-sold Acura at 5:00pm. We used Meguiar's #83 and a cutting pad to remove scratches, etc, then switched to finishing pads for XMT 360. Finished with a power wash and dry with microfiber.

A quick, relatively easy job (not on my cherished lift either) in approx. 2.5 hours start-to-finish (each of us tackled a side and met at the trunk).

He didn't like #83 but I did. He claimed it was too watery based on that 3M compound that he likes...but he did admit it finished well.

Delivered the car this morning....

Now, I've got 6 BMW's for total work ahead....

Here's the Acura finished

Here's what lies ahead...June's gonna be busy

I think this 745 went off-roading with Gary's Lambo

Another 745...very nice car with only 12,000 on the odometer..should be a great finish

Nice little 330i Coupe...I like silver to do because they are a little more forgiving than black Bimmers

And a couple more I forgot to get pics off the transport

Toto

Nice finish !! That dark grey shows some sealant gloss from the XMT360.

You and company made easy work out of that Acura, very nice. I like how the final results looks..very nice Toto.

Looks like you got some work ahead of you, I always look forward to your write ups and pictures. Hey Toto I know you have used Menzerna before on some of the vehicles how about using it on some of those bimmers? Well just a small request hehehehe

Gary: it looks like that 745Li was near that Off-Road Lambo and got mud splattered when you spun the tires LOL!

Nica: I'd like to try some Menzerna on one of the cars. What I'd like to do is get their working range: compound-glaze/polish-finish. At present, I only have the 106FF for the hard clear coats and that isn't a good guage.

I have to stick with my process and see where Menzerna fits:

1. Wool cut with compound
2. Foam cut with compound
3. Glaze or Polish with foam
4. Finish

Toto

Understood Toto, I have noticed that 106FF does have a cut depending on the pad/wool pad you use. Do you think the dealer is interested on purchasing the Menzerna line up?

More questions for you Toto.

1. When you use wool cut with compund...what wool pad and what compound?
2. When you use Foam cut with compund....what foam pad and what compound?

Just curious that's all.

Damn, what happened to that 7-series? How on earth do you get that many bugs on the back of your car, did he drive backwards at 100mph?
