Ultima'd 2006 Toyota Corolla

This is a detail of a my mother's 2006 Toyota Corolla. The car had not been waxed in approximately one (1) and was in dire need of some care. I had the opportunity to give some of the new Ultima product line a test. I used the Ultima paint prep and found that this polish has a very long working time and is pretty easy to use in the sun. The LSP was the new Ultima paint sealant. I found this product to be very similar to OS and Zaino CS. However, one thing I did notice is that the product had no "grab" on the paint when applying via a foam app.

Detail: 4.5 hours

Wash with Megs NXT wash soap and 1 oz of Purple Power to remove tar
Clay with Clay Magic clay and soap lube
Polish with Ultima paint prep via PC and Green Sonus pad
LSP with Ultima Paint Sealant
Interior cleaned with Megs ID
Glass cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner
Tire and wheel wells cleaned with Purple Power 10:1
Wheels cleaned with Poorboys Spray and Rinse 1:1
Tires dressed with Megs Insane Tire Spray

I hope out in the sun it has more reflection and gloss, like the RDF samples, as this looks alot like Clearseal and Optiseal which arent known to add significantly to the final finish, more to capture whats done underneath.

Looks good, I don't know much about these new products. For now I'll stick with what I got and I'm getting great results...I'm sure soon I'll be ordering a few things and may venture out.

The vehicle looks good, I like the interior...very nice.

Thanks for sharing.

i kinda have to agree with killer on this one, my wife has an 04 silver corolla, granted i don't use the same brand products you do, i got alot more shine out of it. you may want to rethink your chemicals

I have to agree with some of the others about the shine on this also. It looks good by not great. Your a great detailer Pat and we always expect great details from you. It was nice of you to do your mother's car.

I had a heck of a time with my camera and the sun which is probably why the paint does not seem as reflective. I did notice that the paint looked alot better the next day after the Ultima sealant had cured.

I would like to see a side by side comparison of opti-seal to this new ultima sealant.

that is until you see the price point difference, with Ultima set to release at 70.00 per bottle is HAS to be the best sealant offered. If CS and OS look the same, last the same, then Ultima might wanna beta test a little longer.

I do understand Pats comments, cameras can only show so much. Add in a metallic paint that refracts light more than reflects and it surely looks better in person. I did expect more gloss however.
