2010 Maserati GT: Exessive (XSXV) Detail - Houston TX (56k warning)

Do people still do 56k warnings? lol *shrugs*

This car was bought driven, then stored for 6 months. My goal here was to bring the car to better than show room condition, since it was a gift for someone special. *not me :[*

    Inspection:

Lets get started. APC inside the fenders and rubber. IronX workin.

    After:

    After ONE wheel

Foam party: Dawn Ultra Concentrated, 5 min dwell, two bucket wash then Pinnacle Poly Clay.

Dried and prepped for a face lift

    M105 + Orange CCS, SF4400 + white ccs, M205 + black ccs

cquartz going down, removed, then let to cure for 24 hours

    Next Morning:
Menzerna PL, cured all day (6 hr), most of the detailing occured in this time span.

    Hand applied wax

Ice cold distilled water and Arctic White MF rags to remove wax

    Details:
    Before

    After

Wheels were also Ceramic Coated with C.Quartz, hyper dressing on tires

    Looks great!!

    Question

what is the Ice cold water used for when removing wax? Does it make a difference to have an iced down bottle like that vs just buffing off w/ a light spray of regular distilled water?

I usually just buff my wax off never sprayed water to go with it?

    Advantages?

    Thanks for any ifo

Well, Im under the understanding that the wax isnt soft enough to apply straight out of the jar. It seems to feel grainy, but if you put it on your hands... it gets buttery and silky (due to body heat). I thought maybe using ice cold water would keep it more solid as i was removing it.

So no real difference, it was a warm day, and i thought hey why not. Water and wax dont mix well, so i felt it wouldnt be to any disadvantage
