My first show N shine - green 4 Runner

UPDATE!: See page 2 for some sun shots!

This is going to be my first show N shine, well I have to post one up someday . This is my mom's 4 Runner, and it's the only car we have that has dark paint. It's not bad considering my dad doesn't know how to wash a car correctly, and we got it brand new, but the only bad thing is there's what seems to be rust on the roof from our roof rack. Also, the hood is brand new from an accident and it could possibly be resprayed.

Here it is from start to finish:

Wheels: DP Wheel Gel Cleaner, Wheel Shmitt, old brush to get into lug nut holes (I want to get a boars hair brush to be nicer to the wheels), 5 gal bucket with grit guard, Purple Passion soap from autozone (my dad bought this outta nowhere, so I had to use it somehow). Brown stuff on the wheels started to climb down the wheel after I sprayed on the gel cleaner, but there seemed to be a little bit of brown after cleaning the wheels. I dressed them with Meguiars Gold Class Endurance Tire Protectant Gel.

Wash: Citrus Wash, 2 buckets with grit guards in each, wash Shmitt.

Dry: Electric leaf blower, Ultimate Guzzler. This is the first time I tried the leaf blower. It's been sitting in the garage, and it looks unused. Man, sped things up and got water out of those crevices, side view mirrors, roof rack, grill, everywhere where water comes out! It's loud and I'm sure people looked at me weird but hey, it works . The leaf blower's my new best friend. Leaf blower plus guzzler = AWESOME

Clay: blue clay and car wash solution left over in the wash bucket. Not much contaminents. I just wanted to strip the wax and have a nice smooth finish. It's not perfectly smooth and the paint probably needs a polishing, but I don't have a PC yet .

Wax: Pete's 53. Sorry it's not from AG, but I've never tried this out yet and it's been sitting around. I've been using NTS7 Liquid Carnauba wax, which beaded nicely.

While I was waxing, a neighbor walking his dog walked by and said "Looks nice!" Woot . The dog reminded me of the thread on AG about pit bulls.

My mom and dad came in the garage and my dad was laughing and said "Are you gonna post those online?" I said yes! My mom said that she doesn't wanna drive the 4 Runner anymore cause it's so nice and detailed

Sorry, no before pics. Onto the pics!

You can see my reflection on the fender Haha. I was looking at this picture in the camera and it almost freaked me out cause I thought it was not me

The flash changed the color, weird.

I was looking at the hood from this angle and the paint didn't really look smooth. Maybe a resprayed hood?

You can see some wheel imperfections.
