April 28 Jaguar Detail

I detailed the Jag last weekend and added a coat of Souveran Wax. Heavy rains came during the week and made the exterior very dirty.

Wheels: DP Wheel Gel Cleaner. After washing, I sprayed PB Spray and Gloss on the wheels and wiped them down with a MF. I applied Pinnacle Black Onyx with a Corba Tire Dressing applicator. I have been using DP Gloss Wheel Gel and absolutely love the stuff. I wanted to give either Wolfgang or Pinnacle tire dressing a try and since Pinnacle was on sale I went for that. Man am I happy I got it. I like it even more than the DP. Wheel Wells got No Touch Foam.

Wheels before wash:

Wheels after wash (does not show off the Pinnacle Black Onyx well in the picture):

The engine had not been cleaned in a long time. I sprayed it down with water then squirted a liberal amount of DP Engine Cleaner. I used the Meg’s brush AG sent me with the engine cleaner. I rinsed off the engine and sprayed some No Touch Tire Foam. I did a Justin and cranked the engine on for 5 + minutes. After, I wiped down with an old MF and sprayed some PB Natural Look around here and there.

Engine Before:

Engine After:

I washed using a Foam Gun and DP Extreme Foam Shampoo. I used the last of my DP Extreme. I have some PB Super Slick Suds so I’m covered. However, I think I want to try the Duragloss soap and since Pinnacle is on sale maybe the Body Shampoo. The DP Extreme makes lots of foamy suds with the foam gun.

Dried the car with a Guzzler. Man that Guzzler drinks up the water!

Followed up with touchup of PB Spray and Wipe and a Cobra MF and then applied Crystal Mist (original formula) with a Cobra MF.

Glass: DP Krystal Vision.

After wash:

One more after:

That last after looks like liquid green candy apple. I have Pinnicales shampoo is suds great for a few then die to almost nothing. How ever it is extremly slick and my sheep skin just glides over the paint. I has an awesome coconut smell that my dog alwasy tries to drink lol. It's a great shampoo to use just not too often unless you can afford it. low suds very high lubrication....very

Thanks everyone. I washed the wife's Quest this morning and did a touchup QD wipe down of the Jag before putting it back in the garage. I'm headed for Washington DC today so I wanted to make sure my car was clean and in the garage while I was gone.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and week!

More anon...

Good job, such a clasy vehicle. I love the curves the hood has. The color looks wet, very nice.

Thank you for sharing and I enjoyed the write up.
