I was rushing to photograph this in time for the owner to arrive (turns out I had lots of time), so I didn't shoot any inside. I understand your skepticism, there's been a lot of discussion about photos looking better than real life. Decide for yourself whether you think they're an accurate portrayal of the original. For a comparison, here's one posting that was only shot inside due to the weather: Introducing Silvia: 1996 Nissan 240SX
Oh, and BTW, make sure you check out a post I'm going to make tomorrow on a 2010 XC90...I deliberately shot 2 inside just for you, LOL. Quote:

Nice work Richy! That's how black paint should look. Quote: |
The owner had a few specific requests regarding the job, namely not to coat the decals and not to dress the tires.
| I thought that was a pretty strange request.

I thought that was a pretty strange request. | The tires, I could see that someone would like them "au natural" and for the decals, I had specifically contacted Chris at Optimum and asked him whether he thought the OG would add sheen to the decals, and he thought they would. Of course I let the owner know that and he did not want them altered in appearance. I actually tested a small, inconspicuous area and it did not get shiny, but we took the safe route. In my heart, I think it would have been better to coat everything. I think it would have protected the decals even more, but it was not my decision. |
