swirled eclipse

one of the mechanics at my work was interested to see what i could accomplish with my new PC and wasnt sure if he wanted to spend the 100 bucks for a full detail. So i buffed out half of his car door, hood, and spolier. its a black Eclipse GS-T that has BAD swirls, scratches, oxidation or clear coat failure (crazing?) here it is.

this is the door

spoiler

hood:

the car, you can see some serious clear coat failure on the roof.

My process was:
XMT3 with orange pad PC
XMT2 with white ccs pad to remove hazing from xmt3
Klasse AIO white pad
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran by hand

I told him, if you want more you need to pay. He said, im gonna pay!

Of course he'll pay, he has half his car detailed already :-P. I don't think he'd wanna drive around with half of his panels detailed. Nice job man. Really turned that Eclipse around.

Very nice, that CC looks terrible. Was it me or did that car have orange peal? I like the picture were you are holding up the light, looks really good. You can see the light so clear, very nice....good job. The 50 - 50 shots look wicked.

Thanks for sharing.

yea the car has pretty bad orange peel, oh well. His hood is in bad shape, it is quite blurry. I think i can revive it a little, but it will still be bad. Im sure i can make the doors and fenders look brand new again though! The spots on the roof have worn down to the primer, so i cant do anything about that. I cant wait for him to say he has the money and is ready for me to go to work on his car!
