    Quick review of CarPro's DLUX

I had a chance to play with this new trim coating offered from CarPro.

Here is the window trim from a 98' Ford Explorer:

Before doing anything,I cleaned the area with a quick shot of UWWP and then followed up with CarPro's Eraser to clean the area of any oils from the UWWP.

Broke out the DLUX,the kit comes with the product, applicator pad,and CarPro's blue suede MF's:

I applied several droplet's on the suede wrapped applicator pad:

Worked the product over the window trim area:

Then I did a final "light" buff with a short nap MF.Here is the final outcome:

Remember, this is very smooth textured plastic (window trim).I think it made the trim look much better and application is very easy.

Time will tell how long it last but it should have some great durability because it is a coating

Quite a few reviews of this product and they all seem to point in the direction of ease of use, quality, and durability....

I'll agree with many other reviews, super easy to use and it looks great, and after 2 trucks complete trim I still have leftover to do atleast one or 2 more!

Thanks for the review! I need to find time(aka stop being lazy) to try this out. Having it sit on my shelf does no good. Lol.

Is it just a trim dressing or more of a semi-permanent trim repair product ??

Will this work on rubber seals? Specifically, the thick windshield on the top of a windshield on a BMW convertible. The seals are matte black, but they are covered (painted) with a shiny black like "paint" that I assume protects them from UV. The problem is, the shiny part partially wears of this seal leaving the color uneven. PB trim restorer fixes temporarily. You think this stuff would work on a strait hard rubber seal?

I do wonder, could you just compound and polish the trim areas and then top off with a sealant? Seems like that would be a more permanent fix than rubbing product on them to darken them.

This is a semi permanent glass coating. not just a trim darkener. along the lines of Gtechniq C4. You can use it on all rubber and even paint or wheels. I have a bottle and tested it out on hard clear plastic and it looks great. incredibly glossy like I poured liquid glass over it.
