| 1930 Auburn Boattail Speedster
I've been detailing for 20 years now and for the past 14 years its been more of a weekend hobby than a full time job. But from the first day I started detailing cars my goal was to always be able to detail show and classic cars. While detailling this car I realized that I've finally made it to where I always wanted to be adn all the while just doing this on weekends. I"ve been detailing cars for this client for over 4 years now. He has quite the collection ranging from vettes, vipers, Bentely, to the old Grahams and Auburns just to name a few. I've found a new love for automobiles and have started to love these olders cars and the craftsmanship that goes into them.
This Auburn the client just purchased and was marred and scratched just from constant dusting IMO. It was a two-stage paint that was very hard.
THe first couple of pics are the before showing the marring and scratches. The rest are after shots. Sorry I didn't get many full car photos. I'll have to go back and get some of them.
Enjoy!

Wow, that certainly is an achievement. Congrats!
By the way, the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival is coming up in 3 weeks...I never miss it!

I would love to see that!
I pretty sure my client has been to it. He currently has one each Auburn, Cord, and Dusenburg. He is a huge fan of the Graham. As you may know that Graham purchased the molds from Cord and that is why the 1940 Graham looks very similar to the Cords. The Cord he has I absolutely love.

The Cord is on the Pinnacle bottles, right? They are cool!

Exquisite looking car!
Do you know how long ago the restoration was done? It certainly is holding up well.
That car deserves to have a real detailed photo spread done on it.
A very special automobile.

That's my favorite type of detailing too... Nice work. Here's one of your pictures that I uploaded to your photo gallery here on our forum so it can be inserted for everyone's viewing pleasure instead of "attached".
Beautiful. Now that's a "car". |

Thanks Richie!
Thanks for posting the pic Mike. I'll have to upload some that way. It is much easier to see.
Oldmodman- I'm not sure how long ago the car was restored. I know the client is currently working on a Auburn but it's a couple of years out yet before its complete. the chassis motor is all done and that looks awesome!
HotRodJoe- Yes the car on the bottle is a Cord. I actually detailed that exact model but in Black. I'll post a pic when I get a chance. Where's that festival at? I'd love to make plans to be there next year.
BillE- Your on your one with the drool buddy. Sorry!

Here's a pic for Richy and HotRodJoe. This is the car that is on the Pinnacle bottles.
