| | | Detailed: 2006 Mustang Convertible Most of you will remember this vehicle as I have posted it several times. The owner lives close to me so her car becomes a test subject very often. She has been in Florida for the past 6 weeks........or since I last detailed and applied Souveran Spray Wax. It was holding up well considering it went through several tunnel washes while she was down there. Boy, there were now swirls. Oh well, sounds like a another test subject for XMT's 360 and the CYCLO. Here's the process.... Wheels, Tires, and Wells: (Purple Power degreaser and Meguiar's Wheel Brightener) I hate these cast wheels and spinners! You really have to spend some time cleaning them. With various brushes, I got them down. The tires and well then got another cleaning with Armor All Tire Foam. After it dried, I wiped them down with an MF mitt. It surprises me just how well this stuff cleans. I then topped the tires with Pinnacle's Black Onyx Tire Gel. Wash Cycle: (NXT Car Wash with 1 cup of Meguiar's APC) There was tons of grime and caked on pollen. Plus, I wanted to clean her top well. I tell you what, this wash combo kicked butt! It left the finish slick and clean.....pretty much wax free too which was ok. The thing I liked was that it felt like no claying was needed. Paint Correction & Protection: (XMT's 360 AIO via CYCLO and EDGE2K Green Pads) Well, I simply took my time on this one. I let the Cyclo move at about 2-3 inches per second with just the weight of the machine. I had applied four, pea-sized amount of 360 per pad with no QD at all. The swirls vanished. I was once again awe-strucked. The paint was as soft as if I had just paste waxed it. Even taking my time I was able to finish the paint in a little over an hour. God bless the 360/Cyclo combo! Interior: (Meguiar's APC 10:1, Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner & Conditioner and Vinyl & Rubber Protectant) Well, I decide to clean her mats again. I sprayed them down with FOLEX and then blasted away with my pressure washer. This chemical is good. I used it this weekend on my home's carpet. Good stuff worth having around. I love doing the leather in this one because once cleaned and treated, it really pops! I finished off by cleaning the window with DP's Krystal Vision. Befores....... |

This is the same car. Amazing that you remembered it!
