I would like to hear the hardened, useless failure addressed. That's way too expensive to just toss it in the trash and shrug it off.
I bought two big bottles at the same time and they are both waiting in my temp controlled house to be used.
If they have a very short shelf life I am going to get rid of them and only buy the smallest amount and only just before I expect to need it. Or just stick with Fuzion.
By the way, your scratch repair came out great. |

The truth is, I'm very comfortable using OG now and will not likely use more CQ. I may consider trying the pro version down the road, I don't know. So, the best I could hope for would be a store credit I suppose? |

^^^ That's great customer service for sure but I guess the lesson learned here is this, buy it and use it right away, this way there's NO chance of the chemicals doing their thing, right. I have no idea how to not touch my car for that long, so its not a product I'll ever be buying because of that reason, my recent "fling" with DuraGloss #111 is a thing of beauty!

My wife's Durango has CQ on it too. I'll use it on hers before the summer's over. |

The 3" 3000 grit polishing disks used as the last step in headlight restoration are expensive, about $1 each, but you should be able to use it on 3 or 4 headlights.
As an alternative, you can hand sand with 3000 grit paper and sanding aid. Might take 3 minutes vs 1 minute by machine, but will give you similar results.

Thank you Nick. | It's a bit disappointing that the manufacturer (Avi) did not even address the issue of compensation for the hardened product - good thing AG was willing to do the replacement at no cost.

its very easy to blame a product while not following the instructions.
30 min at high temp is way too long waiting and thats why you faced very hard removal.
about the Hardened bottle you got, we say very clearly, Cquartz is not normal chemical composition you know . it react with moister , storage it more then a year will make this hardening liquid you got.
if you have any questions about how to apply cquartz well you are more than welcome to contact me or Corey. | Wow, why do you assumed Richy didn't follow direction? I had similar problem when applied CQ three months ago on my wheels and roof. I applied CQ to my bumpers and fender flare tonight and having the same problem. I even gone so far and tried to remove it after 5 mins. Still have a difficult time buffing it off. I proceed to spray on some Reload to help w/ the removal on one fender and it worked great. However, i am not sure if that's a good idea. Anyway, i only used Reload on 1 fender. The rest i have not buff off because like Richy stated "F this" and i went to bed. Sorry for the hijack Richy

Richy, I saw this thread this am but video wasn't working so came back tonight. Nice durability video
I'm sorry to hear you had troubles. All I can think is the age of the product? I know you applied it at least a few times in the past without this issue. I apply and then buff off after 30-45 minutes and never have had a difficulty. I mean it doesn't blow off like a 3 month sealant but it wipes off 500x easier than say 845 or anything close to that in my experience.

ray6 | Thank you Ray. I have both. I wanted to see how quickly the disc would knock it down and I have a box of them, so why not? I am a big fan of those discs. I hope they offer them in more varieties as well as a box with a variety in the box itself so you don't have to buy a box of each. I've suggested this before. I think it's a good idea and more people would buy them. Quote:

Granted, I haven't used it in a while, but I had used it on several cars with no issue before. Now I am looking forward to using it on my wife's Durango to top the previous layers on there to see if there is a problem. You will get an honest answer from me if there is or isn't. Quote:

As you well know, and so does Avi well know, I have a fair amount of experience using CQ. This is the first problem I've encountered using it. I was not expecting to have an issue at all which is probably where my upset came from. |
