Did work on my car

I finally had time to do my car last weekend because I want to sell her soon.

1. Wash with Meguiars soap and Sonax on the wheels (used a rim brush and lug nut brush as well)
2. Meguiars Clay bar
3. M205 polish with Lake Country CSS white pad
4. Wolfgang deep gloss sealant 3.0 (cured over night)
5. Detailers pro Maxwax Carnauba

No interior shots but i used
1. 303 Aerospace
2. Lexol cleaner & Conditioner
3. Meguiars deoderizer

Sealant and the wax look amazing in real life. I havent learned how to use my friends SLR camera correctly (all on auto settings).

Re: Did work on my car

By the looks of the finished photos you had a great time taking that finish up several notches! The before and after photos clearly illustrate a reduction in surface defects and oxidation allowing those gorgeous flakes to show through!!

PS...I think your shots look pretty good!

Re: Did work on my car

You sure did!! Very clear photos even if you didn't know how to use your friends SLR completely.

Re: Did work on my car

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm starting to see some orange peel however, especially in the picture of the front passenger fender. Would love to get that out somehow. What grit sand paper would you guys suggest?

I find orange peel very noticeable on all the plastic body panels on my car. Seems to be like that on a lot of vehicles as well. I would search through this forum: Wet-Sanding, Cutting & Buffing - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum

Re: Did work on my car

Great little ride you have there. That car is a hoot to drive. Why do you want to sell her?

Believe me, I contemplated long and hard before coming up with the decision to sell her. I have a Truck for a daily driver and this Garage weekend warrior queen can't be justified. I have been to two autocrosses and she is definitely one crazy nimble beast to drive and throw around on the course. It's so unfortunate I just picked up brand new Michelin Super Sports replacing the Continental Extreme Contacts and will not have a change to test the tires out since the next autocross is in September. But hopefully the new owner further down the road will appreciate how I took care of her.

I haven't seen any issues with my wheels at all. I usually wash this car at least once every 2-3 weeks. But i'm so anal I even cover the car in the garage with a car cover though.
