Menzerna Polishing Compounds of Germany has set new standards for workability, uniformity, performance, and quality. Why else would Mercedes Benz use Menzerna polishes to perfect the finishes on their brand new vehicles?

My Fun Weekend...2004 Porsche Cayenne S, 1999 Jeep Grande Cherokee Laredo

2004 Porsche Cayenne S

This car was just up for a wash, but there is a little story behind it. They canceled on me 2 weekends ago because rain was supposed to move it. Well, it did rain. So, she rescheduled for this last weekend. However, when I went to the dealer on Friday to pick up my wife, the car was sitting in the service area.:nixweiss Well, I said, "I guess she will call and cancel." No sooner did I get that out of my mouth she called. So, I told her that I could possible get into the dealer on Saturday and get it washed before they worked on it on Monday. She said that would be cool. I asked the service manager if it would be cool and he said OK.

Wash - NXT

Dry - Meguiar's Water Magnet

Tire Wash - Bleach Wite

Tire Dress - No Touch

Trim Dress - No Touch

QD - Meguiar's Exterior QD

This car is somewhat swirled, but overall, it looks pretty good for a 3 year old black vehicle. The interior was perfect. I just did a quick wiped down with Meguiar's Interior QD and Stoners on the glass. Vacuumed just a little.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

These people wanted my full exterior and interior clean with a wax. No buffing. So, they got it. I originally only meant for it to take me about 5 hrs, but something had to go wrong. As I was moving the seat up to vacuum behind it, it started making a funny noise and then quite working. SO I was like :nervous: OMG, I just broke their seat. I knew I had to fix it. So, I took the seat out and 2 hrs later, I had it fixed. Come to find out, it was already broke. They forgot to tell me. At any rate, I didn’t have to pay for a seat repair and they seat is now fixed. However, I lost 2 hrs and it was getting dark. So, I decided to finish on Sunday.

Well, I wake up on Sunday and what do I find on the Jeep...? SNOW! It was supposed to be in the low 50s. So, I was praying, “Please let the snow melt and let it be a decent degree when I get back from church.” Well, luckily, it melted and it was a scorching 38 degs. I preceded to resume my detail. A couple of hours later though, the shade started to hit the car as I was drying it off. I got to the hood and guess what, frozen water. Yep, a frozen sheet of ice on the hood. So, I got a warm bucket of water and defroze the hood and dried it off. I then began to clay. Well, the clay lube was freezing on me. I about gave up. But, I looked up on the main road and sun was still hitting it and I knew I had at least another hour left. I got it up in the sun and finished QD, wax and dressing. FINALLY!!!

This car was NASTY. Dog hair in the interior and muddy footprints on the seats. The door jambs alone took me a good 45 min and vacuuming the carpet was no picnic.

Process:

Interior
Clean and protect - Meguiar’s Interior QD
Carpet - Blue Coral Dry Clean
Leather Cleaned and Conditioned with Meguiar’s Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
Windows - Stoners
Simple Green on anything that wanted to be a problem...

Exterior
Wash - NXT
Trim Clean - Simple Green
Tires - Bleach Wite
Wheels - NXT (little Simple green)
Trim Dressing - Armor All Original
Tire Dressing - NXT
Clay - Clay Magic
Wax - NXT (This stuff is SO under rated.)
Headlights and Tails - P21s

Here are the pics...

Befores...

Pics of what I saw on Sunday when I woke up...

Afters...

Last pic before I drove it back to him on Monday morning...

We are in the middle of building a house and we are living in my grandmothers house for the moment and the garage is SO full. That’s why I am working outside. The house passes final inspection today though, so we will be in by the weekend and I will have my nice new shop ready for more customers.

Enjoy.

Nice job on both! You really turn that Jeep around. I hate that about the seat. How do you like that Blue Coral Dry Clean on the carpet? Nice work!

Great job on both vehicles. You did an awesome job turning the Jeep around, really like how you left the interior.

Thank you for sharing.

Oh yea, did you get anything for fixing the broken seat? That was nice of you to fix but I would have done the same if I was in your shoes.

Thanks!

Actually, I really like it. It does a great job of cleaning the carpet and headliner. You need a more agressive cleaner for REALLY heavy dirt spots, but for normal cleaning, this stuff works.

Also, one thing I noticed about it, when I used it on the headliner, it removed the spot and didn't just spread it out. It also didn't leave a "wet" mark on the headliner either. I haven't gotten these same results with the other interior cleaners I have tried. The Blue Coral seems to require a bit more aggetation, but overall I like it.

Thanks. Yeah, I like the factory finish that Meguiar's Interior QD and 303 leaves.

Nah, I didn't. The only reason I fixed it was because I thought I broke it.lol I doubt I would have tried to fix it if I knew it was broken. They might blame me later for messing with it.
