| | | UK Detailing: Subaru Impreza Sti & Swissol BoS "Another detail from member and pal "finerdetails" on DetailingWorld.com."
No before pics I'm afraid as it was absolutely teaming it down, so only before pic is the engine shot, with me hiding under the cover of the garage door to take this:
First job was the pre-soak with DP Xtreme Foam, a rinse, then a second soak. This was then followed with a one bucket rinse wash, including alloys inside and fronts.
Next was Optimum Poly Clay, to remove the surface contamination. Another soak and rinse before drying with a Cobra Guzzler. The car was then moved into the garage, taped with 3m, and the Paint Depth Readings taken. The car was showing a good average of 120 mcrons, with the occasional drop to 90 in specific areas.
Next, out with the heat gun, and remove some Decals:
Next was the swirl assessing:
First p[art of the de-swirling, the porter cable, four inch pads:
1- Megs DACP and a medium cut pad
2- XMT SR #2 and a polishing pad
3- XMT SR #1 and a finishing pad.
After completing the three stages on the plastics heres what the scoop looked like aginst the untouched bonnet
before on the rear spoiler:
and after: |

| | | Wow, XMT overseas, I'm glad AG is selling stuff over there. I may be getting a new client with a Subaru. Can't wait, never done a Subaru before. You know that's sound a little dirty, didn't think about it until I finish typing it. Thanks for sharing!

The Pinnacle line is very popular over there. Meguiar's is still really huge.
Zymol is one popular product as well. |
