I bought 4 of the jacks at Harbor Freight tools. I think they were on sale for $30 or $40 and are 2 1/4 ton.

Here's the link to the jack. I don't know if it's an autogeek forum feature or what but it keeps changing the link text to "Harbor Freight Tools..."

Yeah once you release that oil I think you need to have somebody with the right equipment force the oil in there w/o it leaking back out before you can get the plug back in. One of my 4 jacks only goes up half way now as well because oil leaked out. I tried opening the fill plug and pouring it in there but only a little bit goes in and then it overflows.

Thanks! It was a time when I was modding the heck out of my car and I got tired of messing around all the time with 1 jack and a bunch of jackstands so I just got a bunch of jacks to get the car up in the air really quick and then put jackstands under

nice turnaround! You're also lucky about your driveway... mine is sloped so I can't jack up the car on the driveway, only in the garage... and can't go around blasting around water in there if I wanted to do something like wash the underbody

That is awesome! How hard are those jacks to use? Feel the quality is okay considering they are Harbor Feight Tools?

They're pretty simple to use. Just turn the long handle clockwise until you can't turn anymore to jack up the car, then turn it counterclockwise to lower. Actually I tighten the handle and then back it out just a little before jacking up the car or else it will get stuck and you have to use a lot of force to break it free and when it breaks free your car will slam down

I think these jacks are a great value. I've seen them used in a lot of auto shops as well. You can get a $5 warranty so if it fails within a year you just go get a new one.
