| | | Thanks for the write up bro. I have loved BMW's but am worried about the reliability. I mean not to say that the cars we had previously were reliable, but im 20, and soon won't have the same financial help from my parents! Awesome cars though! |

| | | The reliability is actually trending down from a very reliable peak in the 80's and early 90's to about the year 2002.
Technology got added all over the place, things are way more tweeked than they ever were and it's hard to keep that performance edge in a street car AND keep it from breaking. Not to mention all the creature comforts and gizmo's they've added over the years. It just makes sense that they'll have more issues than ever before even as we go forward.
But not many other cars are as connected to a driver and a pleasure to drive as BMW's. They're so solid compared to anything coming out of Asia (minus Lexus, quite solid) that they really can't be compared. Just close the door on one and you'll understand what I mean.
Did you intend to create more shine by opening the garage door or was it just getting later in the day? Nice work, just curious as the ambiant light picks up even on the rooftop photos? |

| | | I would buy a used BMW in a heartbeat. Most of them are Certified Pro Owned, so if it break, off it goes to the dealership! |

| | LOL. that's what I did. both my car and my wife's car are used CPO's. They're warrantied and cost significantly less than new. Really great savings. Can't think of a better way to own one. |

| | | The only issue that I see with purchasing a pre-owned vehicle is that you don't know what kind of treatment/abuse it has had, especially on the paint. We have all seen Toto demonstrate what he has to do to the paint with all those pre-owned BMW's. But then again if you just get a year old car you still have majority of the warranty and you benefit on not paying the full amount. I don’t know if this is true or not but I was told by a friend of mine who owns an M5's and he was telling me that the engines are test driven first then taken apart/rebuilt for adjustment and then sold to the customer. If this is true then I can see the M5 being an immaculate car. Like I said I don't know if this is true or not, I'm only going from what my friend told me. I've been reading some on the M5's but haven’t come across this weather its true or not. Maybe some of you M5 owners can tell me if this is true or not. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
