This is a detail of a 2011 black Mustang GT. My wife and I used a Flex 3401 and Megs G110v2 with Lake Country pads. Our process was:
1. Dawn wash.
2. Tape off all trim with 3M Blue Tape.
3. M205
4. P085RD
5. Wipe down with Klean Strip – Prep All
6. Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant – two coats about 24 hours apart.
The whole process went very smoothly. The only minor difficulty I experienced was getting the 3M Tape Blue Tape to stick to the trim that had already been coated with UTTG. I plan to add a coat of Blackfire Midnight Sun soon. I’ll post the after pictures when that is done.

(If I'd known that Nick was going to be showing off the wonders of Blackfire today, I would have done this detail last weekend ;) )

Simple beauuuutiful.

I hope that when I polish mine that it comes out half as nice.

Could you tell a big difference after using po85rd?
I am debating between po85 and black fire gloss enhancing polish after m205

Thanks for your comments. As to the effectiveness of the P085rd compared to the M205, I'm not sure with my untrained eye that I could tell any difference.

Holy cow, that looks fantastic. I love your 50/50 of the hood ... what a difference.

The difference that 85rd makes can be hard to discern while you are polishing, but the results you get afterwards just have an extra pop you wont get without it.

Thanks. That was my favorite shot!

:iagree:that 50/50 shot was amazing.

Can you go into more detail re: Step 6? Which pad, how long did you let the BF dry before wiping off, etc?

To apply the BFWD I used a blue LC pad with the Flex and G110v2 set at 4. I let it haze over for 30 minutes. Then I wiped it off manually with a clean MF towel, changing the area of the towel frequently.

Hit it with the SUN and it will bang even more! Great job on the prep. That is why the BFWD looks that good, all in the prep. Great job

You would be surprised. I wanted to see if I could see a real difference so I'd my hood only with 85rd and it made a big difference. When I get a chance I will try to do some 50/50 shots

Very nice end result. Car looks great! Did you do the whole car with M205 and then PO85RD? What pads did you use for each product?

I used P085RD on the whole car with an LC black pad. In a few spots the P085RD wasn't enough to get a few swirls so I bumped it up to M205 also on a black pad. I had done a full detail about 6 months ago with M205 and M105 as needed so I didn't need to do a lot of correction.
