Detailed: 2007 Cadilac Escalade

I recevied a call from this vehicles owner on Saturday of last week. He has just bought a home here on our local lake. A 6500 sq. foot home with 8 bedrooms! After getting directions and instructions on what he needed done I headed out yesterday morning. It was 42* and breezy and it was a 12 mile trip.......4 of which was gravel roads. When I got there, my jaw dropped. This place was huge! He came out to meet me and quickly handed me 3, 100.00 bills. He said that the front door was open and that I could go in to get drinks and to use the restroom. Then, he left. The vehicle was just plainly dirty. The interior was immaculate. Like new. I didn't take many pics of it since my memory card went bad and I wanted to take some of the house.

Here's the process:

Wash,Wheels, and Tires

(Washed with Poorboy's Super Slick Suds and wash ShMitt. Tires and wells were cleaned with Purple Power and wheel ShMitt.)
I just received a sample of the PB's SS&S. This stuff is so foamy! It took half of what it took of NXT to get the same suds. It was so slick too. Cleaning wasn't as tough but acceptable. The smell was wonderful. I was told if I ever used this, I would have a new shampoo and now I do!

I also clayed while washing. This soap made this process so easy. Never seemed to make my clay brittle either.

Paint Polishing and Protection

Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl Remover & Advanced Finishing Polish
"The Twins"

(Used EDGE2K Green Pad at a #5 setting for both.)
I simply used one side of the pad for the ASR, did the panel, flipped the pad over and finished off the panel with AFP. This is one of the beauties of the EDGE system. Saved me so much time. Oh yeah, the Twins. These are great polishes. There were some scuff and heavy swirls but ASR took care of them. I'm guessing the new Escalades have a tough clear coat. Seemed that way. Took some heavy pressure to remove stubborn swirls. The Twins never dusted and seemed fairly concentrated. I very nice edition to my collection.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste
(Applied by hand with foam applicator pad)
Wow. Just wow. I've always wondered if I would be able to tell the difference between Souveran and Max Wax other than the 50.00+ worth. When I opened it, the smell was awesome. I wiped my finger accross it and the wax melted like butter. I loaded up my pad and went to work. I covered the entire Escalade (roof too) in about 25 minutes. It went on so easy. I maybe had to return to the container 3-4 times for more wax. A little goes so far. It came off just as easy. I let the front facsia dry while I cleaned the interior just to see how hard it would be to remove. Still came off easy. Of course there was no dusting. After seeing this, I had to cover the wheels with it! The looks were deep and wet and the pearl paint was screaming. Oh yeah, the interior wood trim also got a coat! This is simply my new favorite wax.

Other Products Used:

Meguiar's APC
(Interior surfaces)
DP Interior Protectant
(Interior plastic surfaces)
Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner Spray
(All leather surfaces)
Turtle Wax Platinum Tire Shine
(A gracious sample that was sent to me. I used it on the tires and wells. Came out great! Good stuff.)
Pinnacle Souveran
(Interior wood trim and clear plastics)
DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

Befores:

The next two show the light scuffing on the side. Thanks to a ditch!

It always looks clean till you clay it! This was jus a quarter of the hood!

Pinnacle's team ready for work.
(Liquid Souveran was not used.)

That would be nice! I get tired of the same old magazines.
Oh yeah nice job as always. Nice tip about flipping the pad. I have been trying to figure out if the edge system is the way to go. It may be cheaper for me since I have all LC pads to just go get another PC from Lowes. lol
