Detailed: 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This a fellow realtor of the KIA's owner. A referral. It's pretty new so the interior wasn't in that bad of shape. The leather was pretty grimy and the front driver's side fender had some dog nail scratches. This seemed like a good time to try out my Menzerna PO106FF (thanks supercharged, again!). The paint is a dark black metallic so it's work would easily be seen.

Here's the process.......

Wash:
Poorboy's Super Slick Suds
(Used EDGE White Wash ShMitt)
Ok, it was going to have to be some car wash to get NXT knocked out. This was a sample so I thought I'd give it a try. Glad I did! Amazing suds and lubrication. Another key factor, cleaning ability. Did this very well. I just now need to rid myself of 4 jugs of NXT!

Wheels and Tires:
DP Wheel Gel and DP Wheel Glaze
(Used EDGE2K Black Wheel ShMitt)
Since this ride had chrome plated wheels, I thought I'd give this a try. I coated the wheels and tires with a light amount of product. Immediately, brown oozed from the tires. I took my damp mitt, and scrubbed the entire wheel and tire area. Then, I scrubbed the wells with the same mitt. Did such a great job! Very effective. The only thing is the cost. If this was just you only ride, I would get it in a heartbeat. For detailers, you may need to go with a more bulk product for daily washes. Still, a wonderful DP product!

Paint Polishing and Protection:
Menzerna's PO106FF
(Used EDGE2K Yellow Cutting pad at a PC setting of #6)
There were a ton of swirls and scratches so I wanted to use something strong. I had pretty much prepared myself for marring using this combo. There was none though. I checked the surface and it was LSP ready. No dusting either. I used very light pressure and 95% of all defects were gone. Clean up was just as easy. It's highly concentrated so I only used 2 pea-sized amounts on my pad. Took about 4 minutes to clear. I know AutoGeek does not sell this but hopefully they will in the future.

DP's Max Wax
(Applied by hand and foam applicator pad)
Having seen Max Wax's work on metallics before, out it came. So little goes so far with wax. It glided over the polished surface with ease. I covered the entire vehicle in under 10 minutes. Since there is no dry time, I came right behind and removed with a plush MF towel. Took only 10 minutes to remove. So in 20 minutes, it had 2 months protection and a wet, deep, flake-popping look!

Other Products Used:
DP's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
(Used on mats and spots on carpets. Headliner too.)
DP's Total Interior Cleaner
(Used on every interior plastic surface. Used it on the leather too along with a yellow EDGE ShMitt. WOW what a combo. It foamed up and lifted all the grime out. I wiped it up with a damp MF towel. You must try this combo on leather!)
DP's Total Interior Protectant
(Applied to all plastic and leather surfaces. Does really well on leather. Leaves a nice matte finish on all surfaces)
DP's Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner
Armor Tire Foam
(Used in the engine bay and on tires and wells)
DP's Tire Gel
(Goes on smooth and even. Take very little product. I'm getting 2 weeks easily. Very comparable to Armor's Tire Gel.)

Befores:

A few of the the scratches that I was talking about.....

Afters:
(Sorry but the sun decided to hide and then my camera's memory card died on me while taking the interior shots. Hopefully you can still see the how the leather came out.)

This is the only flaking that you're gonna see today. One without a flash and one with. Swirls were busted!

The only interior shot......

Another great write up. Like the way that you are always willing to try something new. Can't wait to try the DP Interior Cleaner and Yellow Shmitt on leather. You made it sound really good. The engine compartment looks new. All of it, paint, vinyl, rubber, plastic. What's your process under the hood?
