    I know this is an old post but I find it to be very interesting.
    Looking at the 13 months later photo, I do see some staining on the coated side too but better than the uncoated side. I am wondering if the car is left unwashed for 13 months to get this dirty or still there is some occasional road side car wash by your sister?
    As for the stain removal can OPC 1:3 remove the stain or do I need to clay? If I am not mistaken, polishing will remove the coating.

    Great experiment indeed. I read the other thread as well. You said you applied Opti Seal and Opt spray wax as well to the rest of the car am I right? Did those not provide any protection at all? :/
