Nice job on the detail. I'm in a similar position as you, just starting out with a more serious detail than what I typically do to my truck. Any reason you went with the meguiars? I asked the dealer detail show what they used, and that's the product they recommended. |
The A6 is an amazing car! I drove an A4 while my car was getting serviced and the A6 is 10 times the car. As far as why I chose the Meguiars, I did some research on it and most of it was favorable. Considering it was my 1st real detail, I guess I did a good job considering all the positive feedback I have been getting. I was impressed by the product. I put another coat of NXT on it today and it looks great.
With all the feedback I have gotten, I am getting a Porter Cable. I can't imagine that the paint can look that much better but that's why I'm here.....to get advice by people who know. I would defintely recommend you do the 4 step process like I did. Meguiars website gives you full instructions on how to detail the car using their process.
My next project will be my other car, a 1998 Infiniti Q45 with a black exterior.
Look for the pics in the next week or so.

Good luck.....send me your pics once you're done......at least you have something to compare it to.
