Lets see your pictures

One thing I love about this forum is seeing pictures of completed details and hearing about what the detailer did and what products the detailer used on it. Justin does a great job of this and most us will not spend the time he does doing a write up. There are a lot of threads were different people start talking about how great (or not so great) different products are and never post any pictures of their results. To me a picture is worth a 1000 words. If you have pictures I would love to see more of them in addition to hearing your comments. Maybe it's just me or something to do with my motor city roots but I love looking at pictures of shinny cars and trucks.

I just detailed my pilot last week...here's my process:

Wash with ONR
No need to clay, was just done in August
Polished hood and roof with PB polish with sealant using a meguiar's polishing pad - removing swirls
Polished doors with Meguiar's #80 and Meg's polishing pad - removing swirls(did this to see the difference between PWS and #80
2 coats with DG#105 (24 hours apart for each coat)
1 coat of Soverian (24 hours after last coat of #105)

I took the pictures around 7:30am...I was trying to get the effect of a early morning shot. I should have waited a little longer, but we had to go somewhere.

I only use old fashioned car washes ... preferably the track kind with those spinning things.

Sometimes I wish I had a black car just so I could try some Souveran Paste on it. The hood picture of the Pilot is very nice. It's amazing how the lighting at different times of day affects a picture's refections and colors.

I've seen some very nice pictures of killrwheels' black vette. I would like to see pictures of it during and after he takes it to the old fashion car wash. I'm sure he takes it there at least once a week. I hope it's not missing any parts when he gets out.

Thanks Sparkie, I had seen the Infiniti G35 before. It looks great. The before and after of the one John Deere is exceptional. You do nice work. I have never tried any Duragloss products.

I tried it (DG's polishes) because Killr and Al-53 talk about it. I was real please with it. It even looks better the next day. Justin had some good talk about the AW DG#951 and DG#401 APC. So I pick some up. Every thing I've tried from Duragloss has been outstanding. What's funny is, I've seen the stuff in NAPA for years, never though to try some out. Boy I'm glad that I listen to these guys on this forum. That's what I'm saying, I've learned a lot from these guys.
