My sister has something similar on hers as well, I'm not sure what caused it, but like you said AIO helped a little bit, it's still there though.

That trim looks like the side mirrors on the Expedition that Sparkie just detailed. I think he used Duragloss 101. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...ead.php?t=2754

The Expedition was black plastic, and that's paint. Don't know what to tell you. I believe DG#101 has more cutting power, it took out some light swirls in the paint.

Surfer: thanks for the info. If you enlarge the pic when looking at My Gallery, you can see an up-close shot of the staining. It's on all the black window trim that's painted. While the shop owner said it's ok, I'm just trying to totally correct this project.

do like they did to my wifes when faded prematurely (Supercharged Regal) tape off the area and repaint. Quite easy, dried quickly, and looked better than new.

Must be an SUV thing, I see a lot of trucks with Pillars that have that stain looking mark on them. So Killr it's b/c of the paint fading? I know I've seen trucks that were a year or two old with that mark o nthe pillar. AIO worked on my sisters, you can see it faintly, but not as pronounced as it was before. For some reason my black pillars are fine , just some minor swirls in them.
