Detailed: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix

This is the first referral from the the 2500's owner. She called my Sunday night and asked if I could do hers after seeing his. I said sure. She was unhappy with her current detailer. He uses tons of silicone and wheel acid. I've actually took alot of customers from him for these reasons. You would think that one would listen to his/her customer's comments. Oh well. I now have another bi-weekly customer. I wanted to have a clean slate to maintain so I did a full detail on her car. She was worried that I wouldn't take my time since it was an older car and that it wasn't a Viper or such. I told her I treat them all the same and they all get high-quality products and dedication. Hopefull I've won her over.

Here's the full details.....

Start Time....
9:00am
Finish Time....
1:00
Payment....
250.00

Washed with Meguiar's NXT Car Wash
(Used wash ShMitt and clayed)

Pinnacle's XMT#2
(Used EDGE2K Yellow Cutting pad at a #5 PC setting)
The paint wash heavily swirls and had lots of oxidation. The owner told me she goes through the locat touch-less coin-op about once a week. I told her all she was doing was sealing in layers of dirt. It was evident too. Just look at my pad. This is just the hood and driver's fender.

Collonite's No.845 Insulator Wax
(Used EDGE2K Blue Finishing Pad at a #4 PC setting)
Since winter is coming, I've been using this wax like crazy. I feel that I will reap the benefits more than the customer since most are bi-weekly washes. Once you learn how to apply 845, it's so easy to use and remove. I put a full circle of it on my pad and lightly press it onto 2-3 panels. I then smear it around and apply it. Once the pad is loaded, it doesn't take much. I let the thin layer haze and then remove by PC and the white EDGE2K pad.

DuraGloss Aqua Wax
(Sprayed one mist per panel then removed with Cobra MF)
After letting the 845 sit for about an hour in the sun, I came back and used AW as a quick detailer to give this white some pop. That and to just plain experiment! I think it added some depth to the No.845.

Other Products Used....

Meguiar's Super Degreaser 2:1
(Engine bay, tires, and wheel wells)
Meguiar's Wheel Brightner 4:1
(Let sit for 2 minutes per wheel and agitated with Wheel ShMitt/rubber glove)
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing 1:1
(Interior panels)
DuraGloss #401 APC 4:1
(Cleaned every interior surface with it.)
DuraGloss Absorb-It Air Freshner
No-Touch Tire Shine

(Tires and wheel wells)
XMT Pad Conditioner
Woolite 4:1

(Floor mats and carpet)

Mats Before....

Mats After....

Nice job. Probably one of the best looking Pontiac Grand Prix's on the ROAD!! You better hope that sucky detailer never meets you, he is probably pissed at the lost business!!

I think you need to sell her on fixing those headlights. Unless it's just moisture on the inside.

Stupid headlights, happened to mine and my dad's car... only option is to replace which doesn't seem like a great solution.

Man oh man, great job Justin. Wax top with AW, I done one today before I came to work MaxWax/AW! Pics later tonight! Do a little work first.
How dose DG#401 compare to Megs#39 or Megs APC?
WOW, 4 hours full detail! Red bull?
I hope you get the job bi-weekly. With your work she should.

Here is my favorite.
