Dodge Magnum - Swirl Removal - Mothers Extreme Makeover

Dodge Magnum - Swirl Removal - Mothers Extreme Makeover

I would just like to take a moment here to thank the fine folks at Mothers and Forrest Tosi for sending us a really nice Mothers Display for use in our new Show Car Garage Studio!

And just by chance, there's a Dodge Magnum that needs swirls, scratches and water spots removed! This Dodge Magnum belongs to a local Body Builder and Trainer who loves cars but doesn't have the time to take care of them to the level he can appreciate.

Finished claying the paint, taping off a little trim and then polishing the paint using Mothers Foam Pad Polish from their Professional Line and the results turned out clear and glossy in one step using only polishing pads.

I used the Flex 3401 for most of the car with a white Kompressor pad but I also wanted to test out a DA Polisher like the PC to see how it performed on the same paint condition with the same foam formula and swirl remover and both tools and pads worked flawlessly with the Foam Pad Polish.

Will seal in the shine tomorrow...

Here's a few before and after shots from my Test Spot

This is actually full size, this picture was cropped out of the original and not resized...

After machine polishing...

The after side...

Next up I sealed in the shine Synwax using a Porter Cable 7424XP and a Lake Country 5.5" Blue Finessing Pad on the 4.0 Speed Setting

A machine applied layer of Synwax drying...

Here's what the Synwax looks like after removal...

Very nice results!!! I'll have to add some of that polish to my next order. Is this a Dim or Non-Dim product?

Very nice display from Mothers and great looking work on the wagooooooon.

I think the pictures you post with your write up's help us, the average detailer so much.
Don't get me wrong your write up's are the best but the pictures just add so much.

Now all you need is Cannon to send you a camera and a couple of their glass len's.
Someone at Cannon must need their car detailed.

Have Max make a few call's, he's well connected

They are non-diminishing products.

Another thing to keep in mind - a little bit goes a long way. Don't overuse the product; not only is it wasteful, but removal can be more difficult.
