Detailed: 93 Toyota 4Runner

Well, this is vehicle number 2 of 3 I have done so far, and I wasn't really looking too forward to doing the 4Runner, because as you will see in the pictures, the paint is really bad. Lots of scratches, chips and etching that goes down to the metal, and no clear coat either. It really needs to be repainted, but I'm not going to spend the money on it as it is the beater car and the one my girls will most likely be driving when they get their license.

Products used were SSR 2.5 & 1 followed by some Klasse AIO and topped with PB's EX-P. I haven't put another coat of sealant or any wax on top yet as I just finished with the EX-P about an hour ago.

For under the hood and the trim and tires, I used 303. I'm really beginning to like the 303. It seems pretty versatile.

Anyways, here are some before shots:

Some close ups of the really bad paint on the hood:

And now, the finished product:

As you can see the hood does look better, but as I said there are spots of bare metal, with lots of chips along the front. But still, it did turn out a lot better than I thought it would all things considered. Thanks for looking everyone.

Nice work. I thought that hood was trashed but you did an awesome job. Nice to see the attention too in the engine compartment.
I have to say you take very good pictures. Nice angles and lighting. You capture the b&a's just right.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. They are appreciated. I too was rather amazed at how it turned out. To be honest, I thought it was a lost cause.

Dang nice job Wicked! An amazing turn around! What did you use to clean the engine before applying 303?
