Finally some results!!

Well, as some of you know I haven't had much time for detailing lately and my car is seriously in need of some TLC. Using the SSR twins, I could never find the right combo that would work for me, and so I decided to try something else. OC/OP and so far it is looking like I may be headed towards a swirl free car!

Problem is, I am stuck on the 2nd picture. I guess I need to do another pass of OP? The 3rd picture I imagine is just blurry and that is why it looks swirl free. Any suggestions? If this doesn't work I am going to get XMT line and try my luck at that, but I'd rather save the 50 dollars I'd spend on 1,2,3, glaze if possible.

Sometimes you got to polishes again and again to get what you are looking for. The 3rd pic, awesome.

Keep hitting it with the ssr 1 and polishing pad, or I have even used and orange pad and a final polish for tough marring from polishing.

Yep, sometimes you just have to keep at it. I've polished my car several times now using different products and the paint is now looking like a "show car".......and it's a '99 Taurus! I didn't think I could make my paint look like it does now, but I just kept after it and suddenly I "broke through" the imperfections in the paint.

Good advice here. Don't give up Abercrombe. Just keep working it and you'll get there.

Your sisde by side pics shows you have made some great strides...sometimes it is necessary to step down to another pad to acheive the ultimate results.I thought your last pic looked good if your not happy and feel you can go one better use the OP with a polishing pad.. i'm almost positive the finish will come up one grade..This is jeweling the surface ...something killer speaks of often..I know the work is hard buy the end results are worth it....Good Luck and don't give up..

Maybe I should state my process. I did Optimum compound on the Edge Orange (light cut) and then Optimum Polish on the Edge Blue (finishing).
