Thumbs up First Full Detail

So I took advantage of the long weekend, I finally did what I would call my first full detail ever. I used to own a pos forf escort (not worth detialing!). This is what I did:

Washed(meguiars gold class), & dryed
Clayed(pinnacle ultra clay and lube)
PB Spray and wipe on door jams and trunk
Washed & dryed
Polished (PB SSR1)
Sealed PB EX-P (1 coat)
Waxed (PB Natty's Blue)

I polished by hand with the polishing pal, my arms still hurt, time to buy a PC

Wheels:
PB BnB
DP Wheel Cleaner
DP Wheel Glaze

Lexol on the leather interior
303 on all interior vinyl and interrior/exterior weather stripping

For my first time it took a long looong time, but the results were good. Still have some swirls and scratches so next time Ill step it up to PB SSR 2.5 or XMT3. Enjoy the pics

Very nice work.

I did my car by hand this weekend too and have already put in a requisition for a PC with my home accountant. She say's November, but we'll see about that!

Very nice job! I love those Poorboy products! I bought the kit with the PC and I apply all products apart from Natty's Blue by machine.

But you've got me thinking now about getting that polishin pal, it will make applying the Natty's Blue a whole lot easier...

Yea, I had taken the tires off to glaze the complete rim, and had put them back on by the time I gave thought to the fender wells. Adding that to the checklist to do before the tires go back on!

The grey polishing pal pad is great for applying wax!

Thanks for all the great comments. Im happy to see that for the first time out, I ended up with a good result (that said it is a new car so it shouldnt be surprising).

But I still have so much still to learn, and looke forward to the enxt detail and even better results!
