2001 Yukon, exterior detail

2001 Yukon, exterior only.

This vehicle belongs to a co-worker of my roommates. She originally just wanted it waxed but I had him talk her into a 1-step as it was hammered with car wash scratches and surface defects.

Wash - Gold Class
Wheels - Wheel Brightner
Tires/wheel wells - Meguiars APC+
Clay - Smooth Surface Clay kit
Buffing - Meguiars M80 via Flex and W8207 pad
Wax - NXT 2.0
Chrome - Meguiars M105 on side moldings, Meguiars Hot Rims on bumpers.
Tires and trim - Meguiars Hyper Dressing
Wheel Well dressing - Meguiars Water Based Dressing
Glass - 3M Glass cleaner (Detailer line)

Before

Clay after one side of the hood

Chrome side moldings looked terrible

Before

weird spots...

50/50

after M105

50/50 shot of the paint...I'd say 75% of the defects were removed

All done

6hrs total time invested.

Thanks for looking,
Rasky

Looks great and especially for time invested, you kicked some butt, I really like the tires, nice deep black with a light gloss..........The Escalades, Yukons and Tahoes are big jobs( usually 8 hours for me) but its getting cooler here in Kentucky so maybe thats slowing me down......lol......Great Job !!

All I can say is Wow. From the before to after pics, it looks like a different truck. Very very nice.

Thanks. The customer didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. The M80 with the FLEX did a pretty good job but still left quite of few deeper scratches that could not be captured with the camera. I would have rather done a full correction.

nice detail bro... for future use, go to harbor freight and pick up some collinite 845iw, about the same price as NXT 2.0 but ALOT longer protection!!

Very very nice. I love the metallic flake that GMC has been putting in some of their paints.
