'98 Lincoln Navigator Extreme Makeover 56K NO WAY!

10 years, 4 kids, 3 dogs, 1 horse, a long dirt road, and a vehicle that has never been detailed.

This vehicle belongs to my girls' parents. She was between cars and needed a vehicle, so they let her borrow it. My girl bought a new car a week later and I've had it the last few weeks at my disposal. She wanted to clean it to show her appreciation...I though it made for a good extreme makeover.

Total time invested was about 22 hours.

Process:

Wash - Gold Class
Clay - Aggressive Clay
Step 1 - M105 Via rotary and wool cutting pad
Step 2 - M66 via flex and W8207 pad
Wax - NXT 2.0
Exterior cleaning - APC+
Wheels - Wheel Brightner
Interior Cleaning vinyl/leather - APC
Carpet - APC+ (Hand scrubbed, followed with LGM)
Leather conditioner - Gold Class
Engine/Wheel Well Drsesing - Water Based Dressing
Tires - 303 Aerospace
Interior dress - 303 Aerospace
Weather stripping - 303 Aerospace
Tail/Head lights - M105 followed by PlastX
Chrome - Hot Rims Chrome polish

Before

Major spillage...I removed the front seats to get at it better.

Interior was dusty

Seats were pretty dirty and the dye was wearing off the front ones

Re: '98 Lincoln Navigator Extreme Makeover 56K NO WAY!

Door panels were not too bad but the speaker grills have gotten dirty over the years.

Back center console

Exterior

Visible paint scuffs

Balck trim was oxidized

Rubbers on the back were brown from the dirt road

Tires/wheel wells...dirt road evidence

Engine

All taped up...

Tail lights

Door jambs all dirty

It was very hard to capture the true condition of the paint but you should get the idea. Some RIDS remained but without a PTG I wasn't going to push it.

50 / 50 shot

After 105/M66

After

Seat racks were cleaned

Lether turned out good. We were going to have the front seats dyed but the guys wanted $200+ so we left them as is.

Re: '98 Lincoln Navigator Extreme Makeover 56K NO WAY!

Speaker grills turned out good

Engine

Exterior

Chips were brush touched but the owner picked it up just as I finished so no pics of that.

Black trim turned out nice

A little paint work on the hitch

Tire/wheel

The MN winters combined with the dirt road have taken their toll on the wheel wells. The under coating was weathered and cracked. I figured it was going to get dirty again real soon so left them like this.

Thanks!

I'm sure it will be. The kids are all grown up now and they only use the Navigator to pull the horse trailer, otherwise it pretty much just sits in the garage.

That is a crazy turnaround. Excellent work man! I really need to get some APC, it seems like it does wonders for interior!
