Wow, I cannot believe someone would do that to a car!

You definitely do some amazing work my friend.

and for the softer paints and medium to light defects, power finish ? would I be able to get away with that ?

thanks
Yes, exactly.

Thanks everybody....it sure was a tough detail especially considering the physical condition I was in LOL

Matt,

I have been wanting to ask you but never got around to it before,
but I would like to know what you think about the power finish compared to the TSR 3.0 and the 106 FA ?

Would you say all three of them enable longer working times, and are not as finicky and dusty compared to the old version of mernzerna (sip, ip) .

as for strength wise, how would you rank them ?

personally I'm leaning more towards getting the power finish now, since i might be able to get away with just one bottle of this polish(swirl remover) .
I never let my cars get to the severe condition stage, worse case scenario is just probably light/medium swirls, and that the jap cars I have are usually soft clear...
only main concern for me is the dry and humid conditions which i usually am in... grr

correct me if im wrong, all I need to do is just swap between the pads to get the desired correction and end result finish yeah ?

let me know what you think please

Thanks !

You are correct, all 2006+ Lexus have at least a two or three stage.
My red (mica) IS350 is a three stage and the black shown here is two.
From the looks of it the clearcoat was destroyed before Mat ever got it.
Someone should be shot dead for doing that to a relatively new Lexus.

Anyway....BEAUTIFUL work Mat!!!!!!

Power Finish is one of the easiest polishes I've used. Dusting is virtually non-existant, and working time is just awesome. Yes, the pad will have a big say in the results obtained.

I just detailed a black Titan on Friday using Power Finish. I will try to get pics up soon.

That's another one of the customer's cars. I will be detailing it Saturday - it's an '06 with completely oxidized paint.

Right on. I owned a '06 HRP Si before my TSX and thought maybe it was yours. I also spend a LOT of time on the 8thcivic forum and was going to see if you were a memeber.

Waiting for pics of the Si.

I'm on there as Mattzilla. Been awhile since I posted there, though. I thought your name looked familiar, lol.

This is what my '07 looked like when I had it. Best car I had for an every day driver, I still miss it.
