Finished this 740iL which was in remarkable condition for a 7 year old car....just some light surface scratches and a few chips.
Used Menzerna Power Gloss and a foam compound pad followed by 106FA and a finish pad. Finished with 3M Performance Finish using a finish pad on the rotary until the product cleared.
This Black 530i was a road warrior's car and was a bear to get done! Swirls and scratches galore! The front bumper was really bad....needed wetsanding and lots of gentle compounding to remove the worst of the pits. The rest of the car was done with a dual stage compounding method: Extra Cut and wool to remove the scratches and swirls, then Perfect-It 3000 and foam to remove the Extra Cut swirls. Followed that with polishing using Meguiar's #83, then Ultrafina, then a coat of Meguiar's #26.
