Friends Black Maxima

Hey everyone,

A few weeks bake I helped out my friend with his wife’s Black Maxima. It has not been waxed for the entire time he has owned it. The outside needed some help but the inside he cleans once a week to keep it looking new. I started the detail with a good hosing down to get any loose dirt from the finish, then I did a presoak of the lower 18 inches of the entire car with Meg's Safe Degreaser at a 10:1 ratio with a foaming spray head to help loosen up the road grime on the car. The car was washed with Meg's Hyper Wash, grit guard, and a new wash mitt. The wheels got Meg's Wheel Brightener at a 3:1 ratio. Tires and wheel wells got super Degreaser at about a 7:1 ratio also with a foaming spray head. Before I pulled it into the garage I sprayed the wells with Meg's Water Based Dressing to bring the shine back to them. I clayed the entire car with Meg's Detailer Line Mild Clay (blue) with Last Touch cut 50/50 for lube. After claying the paint I polished it with the g-100, #80 (speed glaze), and a few 8006 pads at speed 5. The LSP of choice that day was Meg's #26 x2 for that liquid black end result. Tires and lower body trim got Meg's All Season Dressing. It was applied twice to the tires since it has been a while since they had any dressing put on them. Windows were cleaned with Meg's detailer line glass cleaner in the spray can and the interior got a good vacuuming. Here are my before and after shots of the car. I hope everyone like the end result as much as the owners did.

Befores:

All washed up and ready for a good claying.

What do we have here? Something red coming off of a black car. I found out that my friends wife spray painted some baskets red. She was in the garage and the car in the driveway. It took me 3 times over the entire front of the car to remove all of the red overspray.

Afters:

And my favorite reflection shot.

I hope everyone likes the results that I got.

Andrew

Re: Friends Black Maxima

Hope your friends wife appreciated that and at least gave you a hug .
