Got a referral phone call last from a president of a local bank. She had just moved from Atlanta to the mountains and had not yet found a professional detailer. She said it had not been cleaned in almost 4 months and was to embarrassed for me to take "before" shots. I said ok and went to work.
Here's the lowdown...

Optimum Hyper Compound
(EDGE 2K Yellow DuraFoam Pad-Softer than the standard Yellow Cutting pad...#5 setting)
Had a sample of this sent to me from a forum pal...thanks Scooter!. Figured I'd try it out on this heavily scratched paint. Did really well and with a few light passes, was LSP ready in my book. Removed ALOT of imperfections and reduced the major ones. Now I know why everyone like this stuff!

Pinnacle's Liquid Souveran
(EDGE 2K White Finishing Pad...#3 setting)
Stuff is really thin and goes along way once the pad is primed. I left it to haze for about 45 minutes. So easy to buff off and left a nice wet finish. Made silver look deep in my opinion.

Other Products used:
Armor All Tire Gel
Souveran Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
Woolite 6:1
Meguiar's APC 4:1
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing 4:1
Stoners Invisible Glass

Another great job, so you like Optimum Hyper-Compound? I have the Polish and reg Compound and am really suprised at well even the compound finishes down, I didn't even really get any hazing with it and a yellow Edge cutting pad.

I know....it's awesome.
I noticed that their must be alot of lubricants in it because it took forever to come clear. Gave me alot of work time.
Notice the same?

Yea, with Optimum Polish and Compound you can work them almost forever. I guess that's why some people didn't like them and said they are to hard to use, I find it to be easy. Plus the Edge pads have no problem on speed 6 (unlike others) and that speed with the Optimum Products is perfect.

My hood had some bad swirls and I used a yellow Edge pad and OC and pressed with quite some pressure to work it in. I couldn't believe there was basically no marring with that pressure, a compound, and yellow cutting pad

Don't be. Easy to use. Just don't use to much. The polishing oils with overide the agressive agents and will not do the job. I use about a quarter sizes amount per panel.

Great work Justin! I like the reflections in the paint, I know how hard it is to get that with silver. Looks great!

Justin what type of vacuum do you use? I love the little stripes in the carpet that you do.
