Quick Detail - Rental DTS

Well as usual today was met with several small items needing tending to on the truck. Headed over to Caddy this morning and their backed up. No problem, will toss you into a rental car for the weekend I was told.

The Enterprise gentlemen offers me a slew of small cars, and a new DTS. I take the later, and he proudly explains he just had it detailed last night. Looked ok outside in the parking lot ...

Well upon further inspection, it appears there was not alot of detailing done and likely an Express Car Wash at the local gas guzzler.

Needless to say my wife complained the entire time that I was wasting my weekend cleaning a rental car, but hey I just dont like to drive dirty.

Wheels --- Amazing Roll-Off

Wash -- Poorboys Wash w/ Poorboys Bug Squash

Clay --- Wolfgang (the grit was nasty and turned clay yellow)

had hoped to use Four Star Polish Spray but wife stalled any correction or time needed to buff off a product.

Wax -- Optiseal by Optimum

Tire Dressing -- Surf City Beyond Black

Glass -- Surf City Glass

I need to sneak back out and hit it with Optimums Gloss Enhancer Spray but the wife is watching me like a hawk. Does it ever end ??

Im thinking the tires need an extra coat also !

lol!! And I thought I had problems.

The other night I was waxing my rim on my zturn mower with fuzion wax. After I finished the one rim I asked myself. Am I out of my mind? And left the other rim un-wax, came inside surf autogeek forum.

Scott, I think you are too much. I never clean up rental cars. Not even a wash. Then I enjoy my clean ride.

You did a rental last year too. Don't remember the circumstances. Too cool . Hope you show the guy the difference of this and the previous detail.

Nice job Killr. Can't really blame you doing your rental, I rented a car a few years back and did the same thing. When you have to live with a car for a weekend or more you want it to be clean.

Nice job on the rental, Scott. I think you did a rental Suburban the last time!

Very correct ... I think this is the fourth or fifth unit from them.
