Detailing a Land Rover

Im detailing a black Land Rover right now. The paint is so dry and there are swirl marks all over the place. Ive never worked on a car with paint in such bad condition. Right now Im applying a coat of Poorboys SSR2.5 using a PC and Meguiars cutting pad. The paint already looks a lot more glossy and is getting rid of the swirl marks pretty well. The next step is ClearKote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze using a Meguiars polishing pad. Last Ill use Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax with a hand applicator. I dont have a very good camera, but well see how it turns out.

Heres a before and after picture. Just applied the SSR2.5

good luck! ssr 2.5 and meg's cutting pad is aggressive. Did you try a less abrasive combo before? Sorry not trying to look down on you.

No I didnt. I always start off with SSR1 or SSR2.5 with the cutting pad depending on the paints condition. It looks like someone wet sanded it, but forgot the wet part Its comin along alright though. Should look good when Im finished.

Well its coming along nice,
This is after the SSR2.5 and ClearKote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze. Ill finish it up tomorrow and see how it looks outside. (The paint looks a lot blacker then that in person.)
