This is a new car a coworker wanted me to do a complete detail on the exterior. Just vac and wipe the interior and dress with surface protectant.
Process: Vac interior/ windows/ surface protectant/shilk shine used.
Exterior: Used ortho dial sprayer with Meguires deep crystal soap set at 6oz.
Used 2 bucket wash,with grout sponge.
Rims covers and tires purple power cut1:1 with wheel brush
Rinsed off car, used dial sprayer with megs deep crystal soap
to clay with dp clay dial set at 6oz, suds ok.
Engine hosed off a light dust/ dryed with micro towel.
Dryed with the guzzler.
Upon inspection noticed a dull look the the paint, went arournd
whole car more on the hood top trunk and little bit on top door
panels. Look at the manufacturing tag it was produced in 10/07
so the vehicle was sitting on the lot for 5 months, that explained
the dull look. I wanted to seal it but changed my mind, got out
Klasse aio on white pad and da on #4 test a section, not to much
changed so i knew it needed something stronger got out some xmt 2
on white pad and that was it. So my process was that xmt 2 all the
way around, then klasse aio. That did the trick. Then sprayed the
engine with son of gun foam let sit then wiped excess off. Tires
done with Meguires High tire shine get. Wheel wells with foam.
Windows with klasse aio. Here are the pics below comments
welcomed. I changed it up a little I did one panel with xmt2
worked it in, then put klasse aio on pad and worked it in.
To my surprise it worked, came off easy with cobra micro
towel. No marring at all, did this to cut down on time and
all I was to do is seal with DP surface shield, but that dull
look change it possible oxidation, sitting on lot for that long.
She was very happy when I explained what I had to add a
extra step to the process. I had to charge her a little more.
Now she wants me to maintain it for to keep it looking nice.
The next step will use a new wax i purchased. The next veh-
icle, will try this step to see if im missing something. Thanks.
