First time with KAIO

well today i used KAIO for the first time.my steps are as follows.
1.rinsed wheels to cool down and sprayed Meg all wheel cleaner
2.Wash car with gold class soap(2 bucket method)
3.Clay bar the entire car.
4.Then added KAIO w/ pc and a CCS 5.5inch white pad
5.Then added gold class w/ 5.5inch blue pad
6.Let it sit for 30 minutes and wiped of very easy.
7.cleaned outside of the windows with stoners.
8.Sprayed meg hot shine on the tires.
I wasnt really sure how to work with the KAIO.i put it on 4 and just went back and forth 2-3 times and wipped off.I did notice the paint got lighter.i was surprised that the white pad got so dirty even though i used the clay bar.The reason i used meg gold class wax is because before i found this site i lived by it and i have 3 bottles left to get rid of before i can buy more stuff from here.over all the paint is more bright then before.the pictures are dark because the clouds were dark most of the day but it never rained.

Re: First time with KAIO

Ive always said people dont relize how important paint cleaners are in a detailing process.I paint clean all my white cars even if they dont pay for it because it really makes white look that much better.

Re: First time with KAIO

Clay bars main function is to lift contaminates from the paint i.e rust, brake dust, industrial fall out, water spots, ect, ect. A paint cleaner will strip all oils, old wax/sealants, and water spots as well. Its another deep cleaning step, some skip it while others include it. I view it as option but always include it, it's always made my white whiter.

Re: First time with KAIO

I was just as surprised at how dirty my white CCS pad turned using KAIO with my UDM. I'd clayed the car beforehand also.

Re: First time with KAIO

now i am confused because i order the white diamond from poorboy and said that is "filler" and after that i have to put the ex-p sealent with carnauba , but my question is .. i have to clay ,then use a paint cleaner then the white diamond and then the sealant with carnauba?????if i have to do thats steps meguiars (step 1)would be a good choice because i live in puerto rico and the shipping is killing me $69 just for the sealant and the ex-p and the shipping

um my step 1 was meguiars all wheel cleaner.plus u dont have to do all those steps every time.i clay each car once a year.then after the wax/sealant breaks down you apply another coat after u wash the vehicle.and if u need the white diamond to fill in scratches u do that before hand, then put down ur LSP.

You don't have to per say, unless you are doing a full exterior detail then it would be a good idea to clay bar then use a paint cleaner and so on.
