Some UPP & OS Beading shots

Its poured all day, so I thought I would see what the beading looked like this evening. I wanted to try some different products.

I was pleased with the beading. The water was just sheeting off my car(black)on the way home. Which by the way is topped with UPP. It was applied last weekend. My wifes jeep(red)is topped with Opti-seal, Which was applied two weeks ago. It was appied over Natty's White. The jeep hasn't moved in a while, so it stays fairly clean. My wife broke her heel in January, and has been on disability ever since

Side-by-side.

UPP, which is now the old formula.

Opti-seal.

Nice review. That Chev bumper looks like it could use some Black Wow.

Re: Some UPP & OS Beading shots

Your telling me. Its original color was Grey. I've tried almost everything to try and revive the bumpers and trim pieces.

Opti-seal was easy to use. I did have a little bit of a streaking problem, but that could have been do more to the fact the the surface was hot to the touch, and I wasn't going light on the product used. Opti did make the paint glow, and left great flake pop.

UPP was easy to use as well. I applied it with the UDM w/white Edge pad. Product went on with a breeze, and I let it set for about 30min. After 30min, removal was easy and the finish left was incredible. fantastic sealant for black. I plan on topping with Souveran paste. Or I might get me a bottle of that new 4* Spray wax.

Re: Some UPP & OS Beading shots

Thanks for sharing Mike! Both look really great. OS can be a little finicky at times with regard to streaking (IMO the most picky of all OPT products), but it does yield great results in the end. I haven't used 4* at all, but might have to pick up a bottle to give it a shot. I've seen a lot of great details with their products.

Re: Some UPP & OS Beading shots

This was my first experience with 4* and UPP. I would pick up a bottle of the new formula, but I just opened the bottle I have.
Both cars had a nice layer of pollen and dust on them before it rained. Today I could hardly see any, atleast on my car. I haven't been home yet to see how my wifes jeep looks.

Mike, get Black Wow for your bumpers and trim, you'll be happy with the results. Little pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Re: Some UPP & OS Beading shots

Here are some more pictures after another day and half of raining. I'm liking these two products more and more.
