Black BMW X5 - Driveway Detailed

Man oh man, do I appreciate the hard work you mobile folks do! I miss my lift, my lights, my indoor work area...but I got this done for a client of the dealer.

Process: Wash, clay and inspect. Not enough time or $$ for wetsanding, etc. so I used System One Polish and wool followed by foam for a good shine and good correction. I also used the System One Licorice on the trim and tires. I do like this product for quick drying and a non-greasy surface.

My final steps were Zaino All-In-One, then a coat of Z2 Pro in order to use some of the samples Tony dropped off at the shop.

Before: A sample of the swirly finish that covered the rest of this SUV.

System One Polish with wool. I used their 8" wool/foam pad but switched to the Edge 2000 black wool 6.5" for easier control (somehow, my brain does not like the large pads)

System One Polish with foam. Again, I started with the big foam pad but switched to a 6.5" edge foam polish pad

Then it was a trip to the local $.25 car wash to remove excess product from the seams and remove dust.

Back to the driveway to apply the lsp:

Took the X5 to the shop for customer pickup

Looks good Richard. Your details are great no matter where you do them. You'd think for doing a detail outside of the dealer you may have gotten a color other than black but I guess not.

I've got them as well...and left them at the shop, so I used the black Edge wool....that puppy flat gets the job done. I'll probably pick up a spare at Detail Fest.
