Re: 1969 Camaro with LS2 and T56

Everyone has their own idea of what something's worth to them. Some are not interested in a fully restored all original ride, but would rather have a beautiful restomod like this. I personally would much rather have this than a numbers matching anything.

Re: 1969 Camaro with LS2 and T56

People calling it a waste have obviously never driven a restomodded muscle car. You get the classic looks, with a car that drives as good or better then a modern sports car. Screw numbers matching originals, does nothing for me, when we sold our LS6 Chevelle that was modded sure we got nowhere near the money they were going for at auctions or private buyers but we didn't care. Plus the cars are put together way, way, way better the originally, don't sound like their gonna fall apart on the road on you and creak and groan lol.

Now I want to get a 66/67 Chevelle and go all out on. Maybe matte black with black wheels, TT LS engine etc.

Re: 1969 Camaro with LS2 and T56

The car is impressive and it is worth whatever someone decides to pay. You just never know what's going to happen at these auctions. All it takes is two or more Camaro nuts in the audience and watch out! I wished I had not read this post, though...it reminds me of the '68 Camaro that I had years ago with a big-block motor...one of the first things to go after I got married. . As far as the reserve price, who knows? I never would have dreamed an old hemi-cuda could bring in excess of $300K!
