I know everyone knows the big names, but IMO its the lesser known, smaller, shops that do the best work....a lot of times with the big name guys your just paying for the name as some of the work I've seen was good but not for what they've charged (save for maybe Troy Trepanier).

Absolutely right, there's lots of talent out there, just not many are widely known. As far as the price, the last one they did, which was with a LS1, no air ride, lesser paint scheme, etc. sold for 83K. A guy just walked in the Vette shop were it was on consignment and bought it on the spot. He also just sold 67, tri power vette for 120K.

Re: 1969 Camaro with LS2 and T56

Since i sometimes post pics way after i did the work, i don't always remember what is used exactly, i know it's kinda retarded. I started with Menzerna SIP with a green edge pad, some spots also using the blue pad, followed by 106FF and topped it off with P21 carnauba. There were some small issues that i had to address first with Menz power gloss and a wool pad before the SIP. The car hasn't sold yet and it will go back to the painter to fix some minor issues and then i'll gat it back. Hopefully this time i can take better pics with more light.

Funny how many people seem to be willing to pay that kind of money for such a "clunker". And this guy has a ZO6 also with mods.

Ehhh, as I said before. Go drive a restored muscle car, I don't mean restored to original specs, I mean restomod with modern parts and custom fabrication. They can drive and handle as well as a modern sports car, and very solid (put together better then originally). Drive one of these "clunkers"....you'll be suprised.
