Toto, great work, repaints are a pain. I tell my young Jedi all the time that although bimmer clear is hard and difficult to work with it is consistant, when that is taken out of the equation, it can make for a frusterating process to "get it right"

You've pretty much nailed the "situation" Clay.

blk45: as far as being more efficient goes, it doesn't matter too much in this shop (unless I get backed up) because these cars are going up for sale when I'm finished. The only time I get "hurry up's" is on a pre-sold car and he is adamant about telling the customer to allow time for me to detail. Most customers gladly do that when they see my work.

A lot of the product decision comes from: I've been using 3M for XX years and that's always worked for me, especially on black cars.

iv'e been doing professional detailing for 22 years and i work on alot of big$ cars that people freak out on who touches them. i never had 1 person tell me what to use on cars exept 1 who kept telling me to try zaino products. well i listened and i love there products, as for the 3 m products i love them,. i would of done the same thing to the bmw, i have had such great results with there products i never have tried anything else. the 3m ulrta fine se is the best product i have ever used. i get great results. i am waiting for a shipment of menzerna from ag this week. i ordered about everything that is in the menzerna line. i am looking forward to testing there product. i am going to test all of there products next week on my mercedes g 500. it need a total exterior detail. i will let you know what i thought of the menzerna products next week... by the way the bmw looks great.. pic of the g wagon that is getting the menzerna test.

Thanks folks for the compliments!

No Ipod, but just a Sony Walkman headphones/am and fm radio. Works great and NO CORD. I tried a few others with cords and the cord dangles too close to polishers IMO.
